Upcoming Events

Adult Summer Reading Club
The theme is “Literary Elements” from June 16th-August 9th. The first 100 adults to sign up at www.parklandlibrary.org will receive a free tote bag! Submit book reviews in the library or online & get a chance to win a prize through weekly drawings. All programs held outside or in the SWT building. See flyer for details.

Technical Tuesdays for Seniors
Tuesday, June 3rd at 3pm at Luther Crest Retirement Community , 800 Hausman Rd, Allentown in the Bistro
Bring your gadget and share, learn, and talk about modern technology and its capabilities. Learn about free library downloads available. Open to all seniors. Please RSVP.

Antiques: The Marketplace Today
Thursday, June 5th at 7pm
Learn about the antiques marketplace today with Rochelle Christopher and John Thompson of Victorian Vanities Inc. The program includes free oral appraisals, one per person. Limited to 40 items. No gold, please. Please RSVP.

Book Club for Seniors
Tuesday, June 10th at 3pm at Luther Crest Retirement Community , 800 Hausman Rd., Allentown in the Bistro.
Calling all seniors! Would you like to read and discuss novels with others? Every second Tuesday of the month at 3pm, we will meet and talk about the books we have read. This month’s selection is My Beloved World by Sonia Sotomayor.

Family Movie Night
Wednesday, June 11th at 6:30pm
Each month, the library hosts the exclusive screening of a unique and often award-winning film. Under the licensing agreement, the library is not permitted to list titles here. Please call or come into the library for the information.

How to Stay Young: The First 100 Years

Book Quest

Geocaching with the Wildlands Conservatory
Wednesday, June 25th at 6:30pm (rain date Thursday, June 26th)
Held at the Trexler Environmental Education Center, 4935 Orchard Road, Schnecksville
Get ready for a real-life adventure game! Geocaching is real-world, outdoor treasure hunt using GPS-enabled devices. Players navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the location’s hidden cache (usually a plastic or metal container). Please RSVP. Limited to 20 adults.

Knitting Circle
Thursday, June 26th at 1:30pm-4pm on the library porch
Spend a fun afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks! Just bring your knitting materials and enthusiasm. For knitters of all ages and skill levels.
